This site punishes its own loyal long-time users. I've already had a whole year of subscription with the same account and despite being a paid member I got zero visits, zero responses (and this is when I get about 30 messages per day on other dating sites with the same photos, such as tinder or afrointroductions.com). Then I realized that if I create a new account with the same photos I get more profile visits and messages than with my subscribed, loyal old account. Most men on the site play games. I am a black women. Even black men send me messages, I saw their profiles. Their profiles mention wanting only Asian, White, Indian and Latino women. If that is the women you, then why are you messaging black women. They want to friend them or talk debates. It is timewasting.
I am tired of men over 50 sending messages. I don't date men that are old enough to be my father. I have filter my mail to up to 40. So my IP address was linked to fraud accounts. I had to prove that I was a real person. Then come to find out, after paying another 19.95, they sent messages to all the ladies I'd spoken with and told them my account was a fraud. So none of them will respond to me any longer. I have been a member of this site for 10 years and although I have never met anyone on it before I can honestly say it is trustworthy.However the customer service isn't as good as it used to be.I do think though that most of the women on this site are either interested in marriage for the purpose of obtaining a British passport or are gold diggers especially as my honest profile which says I have little in little wealth never gets me anywhere and 10 years on a dating site without success is hardly worth the trouble.

Afroromance is awful
Terrible, terrible dating site. Not only are there very few subscribers, but their customer service is abominable. During my time on the site, there were no matches for me within 1000 miles of my home. Many of the men were in fact in Europe. I did not meet or even see one potential match the entire time I was on the site.
After I deactivated and cancelled my account, they charged me for the next month. They were less than helpful when I disputed the charge.
This site is a TOTAL waste of money and time!!!

90% of profiles are fake or guys looking for sex. Here's a clue: profile reads like a dream come true, college educated, good job, etc. First email broken English and misspellings. May say he found your profile when you actually sent flirt first. Ask for your number or email right away. Talk about falling in love or marriage right away. Here's best one - one guy was clearly a day behind (it would be Wed and he would say Tues) when I pointed this out, he got angry and said not to contact him anymore, lol. Not a problem I told him.

This site is full of scammers. I'm pretty sure they are paid by Afroromance.com. Chellaul company to contact women and hold conversations with them on the website's email system for as long as possible to continue billing of membership fees.
All of them have the same MO.- send a flirt, then email, ask a series of questions to keep you engaged, maybe pass on their personal # which they are never available to speak to you, and their voicemails don't have a name associated with it.
I will definitely spread the word about this site.... not worth the time to look for a real date.

The "idea" behind the site is great. But there is nobody home behind the scenes or on the Facebook site. This site could BLOW UP the internet dating circle and be extremely successful IF the owner took more of a hands on approach to it along with marketing the group.
Per the site: "All accounts are reviewed by human staff individually, so please do not add your personal contact details or your account will be banned without further notice. This includes any reference to email address, telephone numbers, other websites, instant messengers and internet service providers. Profanity and obscene profiles will also be banned."
FALSE! I have seen just today TEN profiles that were NOT reviewed by a human. If they were, they would have been able to see grammatical errors which are common with African scammers. One individual talked about his love for his daughter and in the very next sentenced, referenced this child as a "he", along with sentences that sounded like he copied and pasted bits and pieces from other profiles. IF someone read that and not scanned it with a computer program that has specific words in it that are considered unacceptable, they would have never put that profile on the site as live.
There is so much potential for this site, but sadly as with most interracial ideas, sites, blogs, etc ... they fizzle out and it's nothing more than someone getting rich off of $19.95.
