:@. Do NOT give these people your money!!! They don't give a crap about you! This is the most ridiculous, frustrating and fraudulent matchmaking company I have ever worked with, and I have kind of worked with them all, it seems. It is nearly impossible to close/cancel a membership, even if you have paid for your membership. You will never work with the same rep twice-there is a huge turnover, and they are all attractive, cheerful and absolutely expert at deflecting concerns and complaints. I began to hate the whole thing. If you call them for any reason, be prepared to be on hold for a LONG time, listening to that stupid "Love is here, eLove.com!" hold music. Be prepared to spend that time gritting your teeth. If you are on a payment plan, their financial company people will harrass you with phone calls and messages every single freaking month, and they are not nice about it. I had nine matches, and not one of them was appropriate. They won't give you the feedback they have received about you, nor will they tell you how many people are in their database. When they call you with a match, it is just a list of things like activities. They seem to care most about the person making a good salary, and the fact they have all their hair. It was truly ridiculous: listening to these long lists of supposed attributes and interests; after awhile, I just tuned them out. They categorize you by your age and don't much care about your answers on that endless questionnaire. :((

Pros
I learned a very expensive lesson.

Cons
See above. This company is a total scam. TOTAL. SCAM.

I have an idea of how to give E Love a taste of their own medicine... IF we can get as many people as possible to do it!

Here's the plan:
They make their money on meeting INDIVIDUALLY with potential members, so if they schedule an appointment and its a 'no show', THEY CAN'T MAKE MONEY. You know how they are SO good about calling to confirm that you're coming so that they can keep their schedule full? Well, what a shame (wink wink), if they started getting a large amount of appointments that were 'no shows'!? Make the appointment using an alternate name and then confirm that you will definitely be coming....and then don't show up! You can block their number after that so they don't keep calling to reschedule.
I don't know how many of the have been scammed by this company (from what I've read so far...there've been many) but since there isn't much we can do legally to STOP them, I'd like to see them 'feel our pain' in 'THEIR purses' one way or another. I'm not that familiar with blogs and such, but if we can get even a couple hundred people to do it, at least that would be something! I'm definitely going to do it and have some of my friends do it as well. I know it doesn't get our money back, but at least it's something!
Are there any computer savvy people out there that can help 'get the word out' regarding this plan??

Good idea, I also say file complaints with the Atty General and Better Business Bureau in your area, the local newspapers, then take them to small claims court. I am in the process of doing this. Flood these agencies with complaints against elove and maybe Dateline or better will take notice.
