I went to a fast life speed dating event, and I have to say this should be on your bucket list. Not so much as a way to meet people, though obviously thats a big part of it, but more because of what you learn about yourself - and the confidence you gain from the experience. Anyway, I'd been in a relationship for 4 years and I realized when we broke up that the people I used to go out with had pretty much all coupled up and things had moved on. I figured I'd cut to the chase and go out and meet people at an event rather than go on match or whatever and took the plunge. OMG... I have to say it's one of the most *interesting* evenings of my life. The guys were by no means uniformly attractive, and one was kind of creepy, but the majority of the 13 guys I met were nice, interested, decent looking, straight (lol!), and there was one really cute European guy. So that's the guys. What you don't realize when you're in a relationship is how you get out of the habit of meeting new people, especially new single people, and I've realized that speed dating is a crash course in dating, and after a couple of dates you quickly get back into the groove and start having fun - rather than seeing it as a chore. Its a primer for for confronting what can be a difficult chapter in life. And yes, I matched with the cute European, and we dated for a couple of months until he went back to Germany. But thanks to that night I now have the confidence to get out back there and get dating again. Recommended.

I've been thinking about giving speed dating a go and your review has convinced me to stop thinking about it and just do it. As you said, at the very least it will be an interesting night and I'll meet a load of new people. Am going to book a fastlife event now, wish me luck!

Fastlife University educated was a smart choice!!
I attended an event at Horizon Lounge for a uni educated speed dating night in San Francisco. At first I thought that people were a little pretentious for preferring to meet uni grads, but then I realised that I was one of them! I told myself that I was going to meet a bunch of people that had some of the same experiences in life... and that?s what I got and more. I had a barrel of laughs and competition from the trivia questions. I will admit that, I have done speed dating a few times now with all different companies, but this is the first company that offers me the choice of themes so that I meet people that click with me. I can definitely recommend this company for a fun night out.
