Gotta say, I?m totally floored by all these comments. I?ve had a *great* experience on HowAboutWe and I actually just read this article about them in Entrepreneur magazine that details their pretty aggressive efforts against spammers. I don?t know what other dating websites do, but these guys seem like they?re on top of it and take user security really seriously.

I signed up a month ago, and have been going out on awesome dates every week since then. The guys I?ve found have been really sweet and it was soooo nice to have something ? the date itself ? that instantly connected us. I even convinced a couple of my friends to join, too ? even friends who swore they would never use an online date site. None of us had issues with billing or anything. I knew what I was getting into when I signed up, and I?m totally okay with paying to meet up with high-quality people on a high-quality site.

Bottom line, I think HowAboutWe is a breath of fresh air. I?m so excited to see what they come up with next!

hmm, kind of funny that you mention their supposed handle on Spammers. I was the one who basically kicked off the avalanche of bad reviews on this site around 4 months ago and I can tell you I was spammed every day for weeks...2-3 times a day by 20 something online sex spammers who lived nowhere near me. So, in other words, the solution to this issue might have been nipped in the bud except for the fact the nobody got back to me when I made suggestions..like providing a filter for the user to reject emails from anyone outside a radius of where they live..sounds kind of obvious and no doubt would have stemmed the tide of 3 fake emails/day..but this company didn't have enough regard for this paying customer to even acknowledge there was a problem..the old "stick your head in the sand" strategy might work for the company but not for the paying client

So, I do hope you meet that special someone on this site because if you ever decide not to renew
you'll start receiving daily emails from them indicating interest from really great dating candidates..At least these ones didn't appear to be out of state 20 year old online sex video/chat spammers..and yes, you have to re-instate in order to reply back to those perfect new candidates...come one, are we really that stupid?

And lastly, I'll state that they change the user interface so often that they went from clear easy to understand menu headings to I think using hieroglyphics in the latest version. It ended up that I visited the help section more than searching for worthy dating candidates..So, which of these icons is for search?..lol
