    Good concept, good support

After seeing the "try it out and if you don't get a date...money back guaranteed". Well, I checked it out (and by all means I'm an athletic, average height guy) who just moved into the area, so I figured to give it a try to meet some attractive single chicks in the area. Well, I did message back n forth with a few ladies but nothing really came to it.

I honestly love the idea and concept, it's great...it just seems that they haven't marketed their self well enough to be known. I'm in a good size city and all, and didn't find much results or it could be that not enough girls actually bothered paying to communicate back- which I think is an issue.

What I really think they should do is implement a system in which you can pay for a higher level membership, such as a premium...to attract more dates by allowing others (even non paid members) to contact you as currently, all members pay one fee in order to message others. This will eliminate competition and focus on the more serious ones who want to take a real date offline.

Overall, I think it's a work in progress, but i would definitely recommend checking out the site. You'll never know what you'll run into. Again, great idea...support was great (they had no problem refunding my money and even refunded the auto-renewal amount) and the profiles seem to be pretty legit, so expect to be dealing with real people.

    Pros
    -Cool concept, intuitive system
    -Real Profiles
    -Great Support

    Cons
-Not marketable enough to the larger crowd- people don't know much about the site resulting in a fewer results than bigger dating sites

    Really good!

I have gone on 2 dates so far with women from this site. Beautiful, drop dead gorgeous women. I asked about 8 women on dates and about 3 responded, I chose 2. Maybe it's my profile picture, maybe I am just lucky. But after trying everything out there(eharmorny at $60 / month, match.com, plentyoffish.com). Thi site seems to serve my needs. And to think that it's fee, wow!

    Pros
Free, beautiful women, no pressure/questionnaire like eHarmony. Time from thought to execution (asking for date to going to date) is short and straightforward.

    Cons
Women you are already dating can see the last time you logged into the site! wink, wink :)

HowAboutWe is such a breath of fresh air!

Gotta say, I?m totally floored by all these comments. I?ve had a *great* experience on HowAboutWe and I actually just read this article about them in Entrepreneur magazine that details their pretty aggressive efforts against spammers. I don?t know what other dating websites do, but these guys seem like they?re on top of it and take user security really seriously.

I signed up a month ago, and have been going out on awesome dates every week since then. The guys I?ve found have been really sweet and it was soooo nice to have something ? the date itself ? that instantly connected us. I even convinced a couple of my friends to join, too ? even friends who swore they would never use an online date site. None of us had issues with billing or anything. I knew what I was getting into when I signed up, and I?m totally okay with paying to meet up with high-quality people on a high-quality site.

Bottom line, I think HowAboutWe is a breath of fresh air. I?m so excited to see what they come up with next!

    Pros
beautiful design, high-quality users, fun and totally addictive content (the dates and quirky questions), spam protection

    Cons
hmm, it's been great so far!

    Potential members beware

The bottom line is, How About We is a scam. You cannot communicate with anyone unless you upgrade (i.e. pay) which makes absolutely no sense. After reading other comments on the same issue, I posted comments to the site itself and to their Facebook page. What I got back was typical cooperate speak for "sorry you have to pay to play." Then several hours later I got an email saying I had two visitors to my profile. Doesn't really matter if it was 2 or 200, I cannot respond to them unless I upgrade. Not happening. Shame on these jerks for putting this site out there knowing that they will not give anything back in return for your money. Seriously, it's as bad as eHarmony.

    Pros
    None.

    Cons
How many ways can you say SCAM? Here's the definition of Scam from Webster's
Noun. An instance of the use of dishonest methods to acquire something of value.
