Scam site

Had joined this site for a few months off & on

Whenever i contacted women replies were ALWAYS delayed & then when you do get a reply, it seems good at first but nothing ever comes of it (in my experience with the site).

Then, when you cancel subscription you'll get (after a while) a bunch of emails from 'supposed' interested women all at once..funny how they don't wanna know when you're paying..hmmmm.

Avoid...I've tried it.

Pros
hehe..that's funny. No Pro's

Cons
Pretty much everything

Don't waste your money. Complete scam and rip off

totaly agree.i had 1 contact in 3 months which did turn out fantastic.a woman in warwickshire was supposed to have contacted me,did a search ,she didn`t exist.

2 women i contacted on this site, asked me for money for their services.

I joined up but didn't do the subscription. I was amazed to have 5 messages in under 5 hours. Now, here is the interesting bit. Two of the messages had the same title of 'Hey' and two of the others had the title 'Just joined .......'.

This made me a little suspicious, especially since the last two people managed to use the exact same number of full stops in the title.

The fifth had the title 'Newbie' but ha managed to come from an account that2-/ marked as inactive.

This made me think that these seemed to be fake. Maybe these people were not even real, although it seemed odd that an organised scam could get so many pictures of quite ordinary women, taken with little photographic skill.

There is an interesting posting from a woman called Alison (Greater Manchester), in which she says,

'PPS Hi Guys It appears that this site sends our automated messages which is not very good as it give the wrong signals. Unless I put my name at the end of a message it will have been sent automated by the site and not sent form me - sorry Alison xx'

This makes it look like there is some sort of system that generates automatic emails from female users and sends them to male users. Since I had not paid for a subscription, would this make me want to sign up? All these women who were so interested in me!

I don't know the correct term for what this looks like. Maybe something to do with a 'honey pot'. Making things look more enticing to get money out of people.

I joined this site last December, after googling for dating sites

Okay I will say now that this site seems like a definite scam

As soon as I paid for my subscription, I got loads of messages from "women" asking me to view there profile

After a few weeks, I started to realise that these messages were automated, as the message subjects are always identical, as are the messages themselves.

When I check the profiles, some seem to be genuine women, living in London, wanting the same thing as me, and I am quite a good looking guy, with a ripped physic, but when I send a message, I hardly ever get a reply... and the only time I do, is when it is a scammer wanting me to join another website to pay for something else

I have had one proper reply from this girl on there called Mia, who says in her profile that she wants to meet ASAP, and when I messaged her, she seemed interested, wanting to meet, then started talking about times, etc. She then started making excuses, as to why she can't make it, and that she isn't sure that she wants to meet a guy so quick.....hang on!! She states in her profile that she wants to meet ASAP!!

I have read on other sites that people are suspecting that the staff are writing a lot of these profiles, to generate interest from men, so they will pay

Another thing is, when I tried to complain to the support team, their messages were automated aswell, and when I replied to them that I think it is a scam, I didn't get a reply at all

Please stay away from Marital Affair . co .uk!!!

I joined, and within days realised it was a scam.

I sent recorded delivery letters to Paul Homewood at New Life Ventures UK and his home address saying it was essentially a fraudulent service, and if the money wasn't refunded I'd get Trading Standards involved.

I also sent a similar recorded delivery letter to Global Personals in Slough - Bill Richards is currently responsible for customer services. I did this after a call with their customer care people.

Within 24 hours, my card had been credited.

Definite scam - avoid. If it's too late, do the above.

Avoid this company it is a fraud. I pride myself on researching stuff pretty well and can't believe i fell for this. WHat is Paul Homewoods address by the way, i can't find it anywhere.?

maritalaffair is total, complete bullshit!!! nobody is real on there, and you constantly recieve messages from people who arent even members, or who dont know that they messaged you......these people should be fined, and stopped trading.....DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS SITE!!!!!

Please guys don't join this site. I joined...completely genuine. Its an amalgamation of many different sites and I discovered I was showing up on sites like oldslapper.com, localsluts.com, grannydating.com. cougardating and many more. Within 5 hours of joining they had sent out 35 mails from me without my knowlege. They are just trying to hook you in and squueze more money out of you. I sent an email complaining and they deleted my profile and I am genuine.

so how do you cancel subscription, as i can ditto everything you say
