eLove Reviews

Beware of this dating service..................A lot of promises that are broken.

Self employed business woman saw an ad on the internet and thought I would give them a call. Went in for an interview and it lasted for ever. I was tired and this meeting went on and on. She told me about all the sucess stories that have happened on E love including a personal friend who was matched up and married to a guy who had 2 or 3 previous matches. rnDecided to give it a try. Paid my money up front and got a date within a week. that was in November. Since then I have met one other guy, who I think was married. Every other match never calls or something came up. They tell you after they have your money that they will match you 1 time a month. I would have never signed up if I knew that. Secondly, they do not match you, just tell you about matches that never transpire. Big disappointments and a total scam. I am thinking about going to small claims court to get my money back. It is a scam, that preys on single people who are to busy to get out and meet other singles. Wanting to know how much money you make to see how much they can get out of you. Very deceiving company. BE WARE OF THERE SCAMS TO FIND YOU A MATCH.............................I think instead you will get a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT FOR MONEY WASTED ON A LIE!!!!!!

    Thank you!

I am so glad I read the reviews before going down there, Thanks to everyone who took the time to express their opinion; I know now, not to waste my time.

Finding love need not put you into debt...

They called me yesterday and talked me into signing up....after the interview process and all that, i thought it was a great idea but when i saw the cost! i dropped my jaw! btwn $4600-6500 . She tried to make me a payment plan and really insisted i should join, nice lady don't get me wrong but i just felt alot of unrest in my inner self. I am very intuitive! i told her i would get back to her the next day coz i wanted to check out their reviews online. She said i had no other chances and she was upset that i did not sign up! Now coming online and reading this horrible reviews, i am so glad i did not sign up! Please don't bother with it, finding love should not cost you the world! it felt like i was paying for college...i mean which company gets you to enter into debt like that! They even lend you the money at a very high APR...totally wrong!

    elove

This service is terrible, you spend hours filling out the paperwork (which apparently they do not read) They sent me endless un matches everything I wasnt looking for, some of the people I never even heard from. this is a scam, when i signed up they had an office here, but soon after closed, how can they set you up when they have never met you. SCAM SCAM SCAM.......

    Pros
I cant think of any pros, I filled out tons of paperwork only to be set up with guys I didnt want.

    Cons
So far I have been set up with approx 12 guys, none of which are my type. Why bother filling out paperwork if no one is going to read it. this site is a scam.

Still getting a feel for elove

I haven't been a member long but my first interview was good. The woman i worked with, Nikkia, was very friendly. She and I became more like girl friends during the meeting...as in a female friend. We shared a lot of the same beliefs and feel she was being sincere. About 2 days after joining, I heard from my actual matchmaker who seems very responsive to my emails...I am still waiting for my first match to call but I have only been a member for about a week and i was sent his info 3 days ago i think. I am going to give this a chance, keeping the other reviews in mind. I already paid so I might as well take advantage of it and see where this goes. I believe every experience in life is what you make it so I am going to make the best out of this and I'll honestly say so far so good on the representatives side and my matchmaker. We will see about my first match. :-)

    Pros
For me, it takes out the question of whether a guy is actually interested in just sex or the whole picture. Im still feeling this out so stay tuned......

    Cons
    none yet on eloves part

I wish I would found this site last year before I signed up with eLove.\r\nThis place is a poor example of a dating service.\r\nThe pressure to sign up was as intense as in a car dealership!\r\n\r\nI don't want to say any more except to say,\r\nPLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS SO CALLED MATCH MAKING SERVICE!\r\n\r\nYou will be very disappointed.\r\n\r\n

    Pros
None that I can think of.

    Cons
They don't listen to you.\r\nAll they want is your money.\r\nI felt forced to sign a long term contract.\r\n\r\n

I agree with previous reviews - absolutely scam! They are not interested in finding you matches, just getting your moneys. It takes over 3 month to get a match and it turns out they even forgot about their membership and surprised you called!

    :O
Oh no ! I just signed up yesterday. I filled out an online profile and a representative called me within 24 hours. They gave me directions to the office but never told me their name. Had I known, I guess I could have looked this up ahead of time and not gone. I will follow up and let everyone know how it goes. I was told they had 3,000 people in their database. I am very sorry to hear all the war stories. Have they been investigated for fraud? Sounds like a good investigation story for Dateline !!

I used to work for this company, they don't care about anything but getting paid..

I worked for this company for a very short time.. (i worked with the 'matchmakers').. Not only do they not care about who they 'match up', all they do is sit on facebook all day long. After finding a new job, I decided never to return. The only reason I even went forth to find a new job, was because I wasn't being trained, because they were too busy blogging, twittering, and etc.. After quitting, I waited and waited for my check.. When I tried to contact the person in charge of payroll, via facebook of course.. she told me not to contact her ever again.. I left things on my desk, like hoodies, and other personal belongings that I will never see again. These people are very disrespectful and DO NOT care about finding you the 'perfect match'... After they get complaint phone calls, they sit and laugh about it all day. Don't waste your time or money.. I'm sorry I did.

    Mr.

Crooks Crooks Crooks. DO NOT WRITE THAT CHECK. They plays race factor, the set up blind dates with people that you have no common interest and if u complain, they threaten to cancel u. They are very clever, contract with not ending date, so you grandchildren my use your membership.............

    Rip Off

I unfortunately paid big bucks for the worst match making imaginable. The dates were nightmares. I had a criteria of 6 feet tall or more (I'm tall), no kids or adult children, an income of 100K or more (I make that much myself), interest in the arts and physical activities. They did not find one match in all of Chicago. They set me up with a guy with a four children under the age of six. A guy who couldn't afford to buy me a cup of coffee because he was unemployed for the past 4 years and someone who was either mentally impared or on drugs (he was scary). After numerous complaints they agreed to not count the dates, but in 6 months have not offered me another date. They won't let me out of my contract either. It was a huge waste of time and money. I did better on Match.com.

    too late

I am new to TN and went to local office. It has been down hill from there, and big money lost- after the interview and signing- realized huge mistake when I went home and looked up- scam- I am on endless ridiculous conversations and realize this comp is a huge market that rips everyone off. I am so sorry I wasn't wise enough to read every word of there conned unethical contract- It will take a while- but I will do everything I can to legally make this right- they are heartless and only out for your money--No elove- should continue to deceive a rip people off.

    MS

If this company gets your phone number, they will call you endlessly, without
regard to the FTC Do Not call List.
Dont let them have your number.

    Cons
    They annoy you unmercifully.

PROTECT YOURSELF, read the fine print, don't sign ANYTHING in the initial interview

I am writing this review in hopes that other potential "members" will research this company prior to signing or paying anything.

My unfortunate situation is partially my fault for not reading all the fine print before agreeing, so I am hoping this review will prevent others from making the same mistake.

The bottom line is: you need to protect yourself. This company is more interested in making a profit than satisfying its customers (of course!). Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who seek these services at lonely, desperate moments in their lives, and eLOVE is trained and ready to capitalize on this.

I encourage all potential members to READ THE FINE PRINT before committing to anything. eLOVE will not refund anything or allow you to cancel a contract. PROTECT YOURSELF.

    Pros
If you can afford to pay several thousand dollars and the matching algorithm works out for you, I guess this is the right service, though probably no better than something less pricey or even free.

    Cons
Employees are trained to pressure you into putting down any amount of money at your initial interview.
My advice: don't pay anything or sign anything up front. Take a few days to think about it. They are as desperate for members as you are to meet somebody. You can change your mind and sign up to be a member, but once you do, you are legally bound to them and they will take advantage of this.

Customer service is poor. If you have a complaint, you will need to voice it long and loud before you get a response. It took me 2 months to speak with an actual person about concerns with my contract. In the meantime, they just kept taking my money each month.
My advice: Don't expect that the member services actually want to help you. I was threatened with legal repercussions when I expressed dissatisfaction with the contract I signed. This company stays profitable by collecting money from people who are not interested in being members but were manipulated into signing what they are lead to believe are non binding contracts.

Despite what your interviewee tells you, you will NOT be notified each month prior to having a membership fee charged to your credit card.
