Getting worse and worse
I've been a member of the site for several years. I come and go. I had several dates, but nothing significant. Each time I log in - there are more scammers and less real women. I've encountered a lot of old profiles of women who had been there for ages (with the same photos). Some of them haven't logged in for a long time and most don't reply to messages.
It seems that there are less and less new members.
Forums, poems and blogs aren't worth mentioning. You can only meet old-term members there - or one of their fake profiles (I think that most have several). They are either married, in a relationship, not looking, fake or simply old lonely people who have nowhere else to go. You won't find a date among them.
When I logged in the last time - apart from (too many!) political discussions, there was nothing much to read - only the same old group of people fighting and gossiping among themselves or writing about their days of retirement (rarely anyone is younger than 60, especially on blogs). Very boring and annoying.
The site has a potential to be better if it stays free, gets modernized and gets rid of everything that isn't a dating site.
Don't waste your time for now. Check again later to see if it got any better.

People lie, use plenty of fake profiles - you have NO IDEA who is real and who is not and - if those who ARE real are - mentally stable - especially on blogs and forums. Caution is recommended.

Concerned about seeing certain profiles on some members friends lists even though those members know these profilers are scammers.
One in particular, platino previously entusiasmo in spain using the photos of galina verhot**** in the ukraine. galina works for the wwf so we sent a message to galina, spoke to the wwf offices in london and the usa hq to raise concerns that their employee's photos were being used and because she phoned a swedish friend claiming she was in london and knew us (she doesn't). platino appears to be hiding her profile on cs but the fake photos still show on cs. I don't know why her details have not been removed.
Other members know and reported her profile and a member chris27*****has her on his friend list. The pair of them were involved in a forum thread called the secret lounge started by a member called bluefish.. who has also had various profiles who used this thread along with maxmate*, butterfly*** to accuse other members using their real names and information about them. The odd thing is the troublemakers were allowed to remain on the site while the others were banned for standing up for themselves which raises the question who is running that site exactly?
It seems that there are quite a few problematic people on this site with serious issues and they tend to enjoy stirring and attacking new members or anyone who has an opinion different to them. One of the worse members on there is jac*** who thinks she is superior because of some outdated psychology degree and tolerated at best because she claims she has dyslexia and autism but you cannot believe everything these people say on there. One minute they are friends, then enemies. It's sometimes a ploy for attention and boring.
Some of these members even revive old threads from years back or make threads about members who left. The ones who left are the lucky ones preserving their sanity.
It's disheartening really to see adults behave the way they do. Some of them claim on the public forums they have been victims of incest and/or rape. Who knows but odd to write things like that on public forums? Alot of very sad, lonely attention seeking people on there.
What makes me laugh is that it does not take long to find out who is who as they are all pals on another networking site. Some of them have nothing better to do than plot behind the scenes there next veiled attacks on members. Maybe that's why things got out of hand with the secret lounge thread. They are all as bad as each other really.

It is populated with Anti-Semites, those who spew Anti-Western propaganda, racists, sexists and ageists. Browsing this site, the blogs caused concern. Observed an American man, a reputable professional photographer being called a Nazi and other offensive terms of reference on a blog created by allegedly another notorious banned member who was operating two profiles easily spotted by the photos used. The blog dedication was deleted but not after some time had passed, enough time for comments and 'all' across the worldwide net to view.

Over the past few months, this site has gone from one of the worse sites on the Internet , to the worst!
Quite an achievement to be honest, and it was done quite easily.
First of all, on the forums they (for some messed up reason) decided to give the thread owners the power to ban people from their threads. Could have worked, but bear in mind, we're dealing with children here... and children that eat the purple crayons!
Now, if someone doesn't like you, they will wait for you to post, and then ban you, but only after trolling you first.
Speaking of trolling. Yah, it's rife there. It's now slowly turning into an anti West site. If you have something to say that negates the western world, then it's the place to be. It also seems to grant you immunity from a ban.
The threads are as if a spotty teenager has finally been allowed onto the Internet. It's all about sex and other subjects that could turn milk sour.
The moderators. Yah, they are the biggest joke on the site. They really have no idea what the site actually offers. They claimed it was a clean and safe site that doesn't offer meeting up for sex. Yet, they do. Intimate Encounter is one of the options. Though, pointing that out by starting a thread questioning what the member base thought it was, got me banned and thrown off the site. That's how pathetic they actually are.
But, if you want to ask if anal sex is something you'd do on a first date, or if swallowing semen is OK or how many times you masturbated, then that's perfectly acceptable. Just don't ask a genuine question that you'd actually want to know the answer for.
Regarding the dating. It's a waste of time. More fakes than a Chinese market, and the site does nothing about them.

What a joke!
I joined about 6 weeks ago,waited 7 days before able to post,had about 16 hours on site then my profile was deleted.
I was accused of being a banned member [ think her name was bestbefore?] Whoever this person was she certainly left her mark, as the paranoia on the threads is rife!
As the site is open to view, whether you are a member or not, I checked the Forums again, and saw that the frenzied mob on there were accusing another member of being this bestbefore.What the hell's that all about!

The management of Connecting Singles has one rule they consistently enforce, don't criticize the management of Connecting Singles. Other than that it's pretty selective. Fake photos on forums? You'd think they would know what Rowen Atkison or Mel Gibson looks like wouldn't you? Hell I've seen pictures of women stolen from ads that display on CS used in profiles stay up for months.

Naturally I had to look. I've seen worse but I have to admit the forums are troll central and the site does not evenly enforce the rules. Damned if I can tell why but there seems to be a certain bias that is "pleasing to the eyes" of the site owners.
