I joined this website, was swamped with messages, flirts, gifts etc but was unable to respond until l signed up to a package. I chose the 3 day VIP package and found access very restricted. Although I can empathise with some of the woes some people might have had I only remember a positive experience. Only one out of about 20 women I had email exchanges with turned out to be a scammer - the bad old Nigerian style inheritance scam. Most women were pleasant, intelligent and sincere (as much as detectable online).
Anyway I eventually found my dream lady offline but I must say in all fairness that this site is worth a chance if you stay level-headed and street/net smart all the time.
If I look for a grain of salt it would be that some of the (apparently immature) female members send SMS style emails, containing 4-5 encrypted words. A major turnoff ladies! I also found it strange that quite a few girls in their twenties contacted me although I requested 40 in my profile.

If you understand and accept that, the site is not that bad. I found that, as a reasonably attractive male, I could go on there, set the allowance amounts to something reasonable, and find a huge array of women.
The trick of being successful as a guy on this site is to have rules and be upfront about them. There are a lot of women who get on the site and want to be paid hundreds of dollars just so you can buy them dinner. If you are like me, you do not need to pay for friends. So, my rule, which I had to explain far less often than you might expect, was that I would be happy to meet and buy dinner and what not, but if she wanted cash and stuff, then we had to be on an intimate/sexual level.

On the home page of the site, we read the words: "The webmaster checks the IP address of every incoming profile and uses advanced techniques to prevent scammers from getting on the site." Unfortunately scammers have not been prevented at all, although I dare say the webmaster does what he can.
I have been repeatedly approached on the site by women who demand money from me. And these women's messages to me are in a type of fractured English very different from the perfectly grammatical English of their profiles.
In at least one case I believe - on the strength of a Google search - that a "Michigan"-based woman was actually operating out of Liberia. So I have reason to suppose that wholesale identity theft is involved.
Whilst NLL does not cost a huge amount of money, I do not plan to renew my membership when my original term expires. Thus far, I have written twice in the last week to the webmaster (once via the site itself, once via a personal email) expressing my concern at the above.
Maybe the lesson here is, don't consider this kind of site unless you are in the U.S.A.

Terrible, terrible dating site. Not only are there very few subscribers, but their customer service is abominable. During my time on the site, there were no matches for me within 1000 miles of my home. Many of the men were in fact in Europe. I did not meet or even see one potential match the entire time I was on the site.

Tons and tons of fake profiles. In the first day alone I had over 70 'messages' mostly from Ghana. After only one day of communication with a 'woman' she was asking me for airtime for her phone.

Some warning signs to watch out for:
1. Incomplete profiles
2. All info is written in lower case letters including their name
3. English is not correct (even though they may claim to have a Master's degree...lol)
4. They almost immediately want to move the conversation to Yahoo messenger
5. They're looking for someone between the ages of 23 and 99 - even though they may only be 23 themselves
6. Only one photo shown and its a very attractive woman

9. Unusual and inconsistent things in their profile

Review about RussianCupid.comIt's an okay site. It's not as bad as the blantantly scamming sites where the women are employees who are paid to show interest in the men. HOwever, they are not filtering well and there are TONS of scammers getting through. Try Luckylovers instead. The profiles are realistic there and if I see a scam like message in my mailbox, I find by the next day or two, that profile is gone or blocked.

Review about AfroRomanceTerrible, terrible dating site. Not only are there very few subscribers, but their customer service is abominable. During my time on the site, there were no matches for me within 1000 miles of my home. Many of the men were in fact in Europe. I did not meet or even see one potential match the entire time I was on the site.
After I deactivated and cancelled my account, they charged me for the next month. They were less than helpful when I disputed the charge.
This site is a TOTAL waste of money and time!!!

Offensive diary entries naming and shaming other members and making spiteful remarks are commonplace and freely published by the sites moderators.
I honestly think as a woman you are seriously putting your safety at risk by meeting men from a site like this given the behaviour I've seen. The men are purely interested in you because you are female for no other reason. I even saw diary entires from men wanting sex saying "looks aren't important" and "I just wanna get my dick wet"
Many of the men hide in anonymity, not revealing their real name, asking you to converse on messaging systems like kik where again they use assumed names. So you have no chance at all of being able to check them out or potentially vet them before meeting. Many of them are on the site constantly, I even took a break for a year to see if things had improved only to find a lot of the same members, some are members there for years which is a bit sad and it seems like an addiction.

Nothing but fake profiles - total garbage website
Review about AfroIntroductions.comTons and tons of fake profiles. In the first day alone I had over 70 'messages' mostly from Ghana. After only one day of communication with a 'woman' she was asking me for airtime for her phone.
There may be real people hoping to meet other real people, but the profiles are so few and far between it's not worth your time or money.
Some warning signs to watch out for:
1. Incomplete profiles
2. All info is written in lower case letters including their name
3. English is not correct (even though they may claim to have a Master's degree...lol)
4. They almost immediately want to move the conversation to Yahoo messenger
5. They're looking for someone between the ages of 23 and 99 - even though they may only be 23 themselves
6. Only one photo shown and its a very attractive woman
7. They don't carry the conversation like somebody would if they were truly interested in you
8. They use a lot of words like 'my dear', 'my love' or 'the love of my life'
9. Unusual and inconsistent things in their profile
10. They are vague or fuzzy when you ask them specific questions
Use common sense. The 'lovely lady' you're speaking to is likely some dude sitting in an Internet cafe. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is!

Review about Biker PlanetAlone in a dating site is a very lonely place. When I did an initial search, it showed 160 men, local, within my age range. I thought...great! I joined, went through all the "Rapid Response" profiles, where it shows you pics and you hit Like. Then the member gets a message saying you liked them.
I sent dozens of messages to men who supposedly had been online within the last 2 weeks. Short, thoughtful, complimentary messages showing that I had actually read their profile.
I received ZERO responses. I know that some people will receive messages and not respond, but online dating manners, which I find most people adhere to, is to at least send a "thanks for reading my profile" response. I am not unnattractive. I'm an articulate, well educated, high wage earning, petite blonde, 52 year old woman. And I was writing to men mostly in their 50's and 60's.
I've been on dating sites before and the usual effect is that you get deluged the first week, then responses taper off.
But to get NOTHING? I think they just keep your profile up there showing you are an active member, even though you moved away and got married 5 years ago.
I tried their online help. And asked if non paying members were able to read and respond to messages from paying members. ? No response and then disconnected. I wrote to the admin. No response. I put in a help desk request. never answered. I wrote in the forum. No response. Not even any "views". The chat room...empty. The place is dead.

Instead of providing an honest service, they would rather lie in every forum, site, or venue. You can easily go to the site, create two profiles and see the exact same letters from the women there at both accounts. And you will get those same letters for months. Gents, look online for Ukrainian newspapers. Look for job and wanted ads. You will see for yourself. The pay by the letter sites all pay their women. Not directly. Veronikalove like most scam agencies, pays agencies in Ukraine and Russia. Those agencies in turn pay the women. The ads are run by those agencies. They "hire" women and the women are compensated based on chatting and letter writing. If you go to Ukraine, just grab a local newspaper. Then have an interpreter read the ads to you, like I did.
Things are harder in Russia and Ukraine now. So you will see all kinds of activity going up. They will write you anything to get you to respond.
I wish I could tell you these pics of models and ballerinas want you. But they don't. They don't care about you. They are not leaving Ukraine or Russia. They simply want money. Find sites that charge a monthly fee. Geesh . .there are dozens of free sites. Just look up free Russian or Ukrainian dating. I went to a free site and met a lady in Ukraine. Didn't cost me a dime. At Veronikalove, you can spend a thousand dollars and get incorrect contact info. No refund and then you are talked to like you are an idiot. Because you are.
It isn't about saving money. God knows that American men are prepared to spend tens of thousands just for an opportunity to talk to a beautiful woman who is actually available. But what these sites do, posting fake pictures, pictures of women who are married, engaged, have boyfriends. . . it is beyond evil. And if you continue to go to these sites, then you are actually helping to create a much more evil place to live for all of us.
